10 Gratitude Points To Happiness!

10 Gratitude Points To Happiness!
by Mike Doyle

Hello there!

So I've been thinking over the holiday season about what is true happiness?
With all the money that is spent at this time of year on presents, food and drink - does it bring you lasting happiness?

I believe it doesn't.
It's transient happiness; it's a brief moment that has no longevity.

Yes, it's wonderful to enjoy the moment...
...but only if it's 'feeding your soul' and not your ego or addictions!
What has interested me is that people are not experiencing true happiness.
So - how is it possible to attain true happiness?

* Meditation is the key to lasting happiness *

I have been meditating every day for many months now and it has made a significant difference in my life.
I have started to experience a calmness that I've not known before.
I live more in the moment.

I am grateful for what I have in my life rather than wanting more and more.
Because of this gratitude attitude I am receiving more!
Yes, like most of you...I do wish for more in my life but I have found that by being grateful in my meditation for what I have already sends a message to The Universe, which gives me even more of what I already have!

In my meditation I always express these
10 gratitude points:
  1. I am grateful for this perfect moment.
  2. I am grateful for my 5 senses and my physical ability.
  3. I am grateful for my health.
  4. I am grateful for the love that is in my life.
  5. I am grateful for various family and friends in my life, whom I list.
  6. I am grateful for the home I have and the outdoor space that I can enjoy.
  7. I am grateful for the opportunities that The Universe sends my way.
  8. I am grateful for the money that flows to me, through me, for me and for others.
  9. I am grateful for true happiness.
  10. I am grateful for this perfect moment -->
--> Yes - I do say this again to drive home the importance of it!

If you are constantly grateful for this perfect moment....
then The Universe will give you
more perfect moments!

So how about it?
Why not try it...start for 5 minutes a day and see what The Universe gives you :)

Just sit quietly somewhere, be aware of your breath.
Close your eyes and begin your gratitude meditation.
Keep doing it every day and eventually you will experience the difference; moment after moment of your perfect life.

Lessons From The Buddha: Giving You Success

"Love yourself first.
You are shaped by your thoughts: law of attraction.
Be optimistic - it is better than being negative.
Believe in your own thoughts; follow YOUR heart.
Small steps lead to big success; it is better to travel well than to arrive - stay in the present."

Your Vibrational Energy Is Your Success Fuel!

Your Vibrational Energy
Is Your Success Fuel!
We are vibrational beings.
With every thought we have we transmit a vibration to the Universe.
When we place our focus of attention on a particular thought, we strengthen the vibration of that thought.
The Universe responds to our vibration by giving us what we are placing our energy and attention on.
When we repeatedly hold a thought, it becomes a belief. Our beliefs determine what shows up in our lives.
If, for example, a person believes he or she is not deserving of success, then despite all efforts, there will be some way in which she sabotages her success.
Most of our beliefs come from the ideas we picked up in childhood. Unfortunately, many of those beliefs are not true. Think about your self-talk. How often is it encouraging and positive? For most people, the majority of their thoughts are negative and habitual. No wonder so many people struggle to reach their goals and dreams!
Our beliefs, attitudes and values are stored in our subconscious mind. You may not even realize some of the beliefs you hold subconsciously. Our beliefs become the lens through which we see the world and affect how we behave. If you want to know what beliefs you hold, simply look at your life and ask, "What would someone have to believe in order to have created this?"
Perhaps you recognise some of these commonly held beliefs:
  • No matter what I do or how hard I try, it's never good enough.
  • I blame others for my problems.
  • My opinion doesn't matter.
  • What I do isn't really important.
  • If people knew the real me they wouldn't like me.
  • I shouldn't try anything new or risky because I'll probably screw it up.
  • I don't deserve to be happy (be successful, have love, etc.)
  • Mistakes and failure are bad.
The way to consciously deactivate a thought is to replace it with a different thought. When you first give your attention to a new thought, the vibration isn't very strong. But with practice, you begin to shift your limiting dominant thought to the new one. You actually create new neural pathways in the brain, so the new thought is now your default thought. Now you will be transmitting a vibration in alignment with what you want to create in your life.
Think about how you feel when you have a negative thought. Not so good, right? That feeling of contraction is your indicator you are off track from creating what you want. Your Source knows you are deserving and capable of bringing into being everything you want to be, do and have. When you think a negative thought you are out of alignment with what is actually true about you. So, use your feelings as your internal guidance system to tell if you are in alignment with your desires or keeping them away from you.
Some ways to practice shifting to positive thoughts:
  1. Start paying more attention to your self-talk. When you notice a negative thought, gently replace it with a thought that feels better. Practice the new thought as an affirmation. You can start the new thought with the words "I've decided" or "I chose." Ex: I choose to know that I am deserving of success" or "I've decided I am deserving of success."
  2. Scripting is another great way to practice new thinking and raise your vibration. Simply write a story about how you want your life to look, as if it was already accomplished. Use sentence starters like, "I love knowing that... " and "It's so exciting when... " Read your script frequently to raise your vibration-and make sure it is something that feels great to read!
  3. Vision boards and "mind movies" are great if you are a visual person. There are many resources online that will help you with ideas for creating a vision board or create a video version of a vision board.
  4. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique, also called "tapping") or PSYCH-K are two modalities that work to help you shift limiting subconscious beliefs quickly.

Raise Your Vibration To Attract What you Want

When Is It Ever Going To Happen?
There's something that you want.
Perhaps you've wanted it for a long time.
You want it REALLY badly.
But it STILL hasn't shown up and you're asking yourself,
"Is it EVER going to happen?!"
A lot of people experience exactly this. They've felt anxious, discouraged and frustrated. They've felt stuck. After working so long and hard toward their goal of becoming a recognised expert in their field, nothing seemed to manifest. WHY?
Here's the thing. When we're feeling stuck, it's never the situation that has become stuck. It's our energy that's stuck. While we've been putting part of our energy toward manifesting what we want, another part of our energy contradicts the vibration of what we want. We cannot manifest from this place because we aren't a vibrational match to our desire.
This can be a lot of people's frustration. They wanted to make a difference. They wanted to reach the people who needed their influence. But it Just. Wasn't. Happening.
The universe is impersonal. It responds only to our vibration - wherever we focus our energy. If part of us is focused on what we want, and another part is focused on what we don't want, or on what's lacking, we can't manifest what we DO want. It's like a tug of war, with opposing energies pulling at both ends. Our vibration is contradicting itself and nothing can move forward. What we want stays in the un-manifested world of wants.
So what did these people do? The secret was to focus on raising the frequency of their vibration. The higher their vibration, the more powerfully they were able to manifest their dreams and desires. And you can do the same!
We often ask "When is it EVER going to happen?" But our manifestations don't usually happen on a linear timeline. They usually happen when we align with a higher vibration that allows our manifestation to come TO us.
Behind the scenes: When you're feeling stuck, it isn't the situation that's become stuck... it's your energy that's stuck, from the trigger of negative emotions that can come from past hurts and traumas.
In other words, it isn't the pain of the situation; it's the pain of not being connected to the natural positive energy of who you really are... a creative vibrational being who can use positive energies to create what you want and bring it into the physical. Part of this process is to invite your manifestations to materialise, and not get stuck in the negative vibrations that block them.

Attract The Life *YOU* Want Through Gratitude

Gratitude & The Law Of Attraction
The largest obstacles standing in our way when we begin attempting to utilise the Law of Attraction are our current habitual thought processes.
Whether we realise it or not, most of us focus solely on our lacks, our wants, (also translated as "things we don't have" or "lack"), and on the things that irritate us or stand in our way.
This is largely counterproductive, as what we are magnetising is more lack and more irritation.
There is a fantastic trick to altering our mode of thought in a more positive, abundant direction.
This is the process of gratitude.
Take a moment and stop worrying about the things you need. Stop worrying about the things you want. Stop worrying about what's going wrong and what you can't do anything about.
Instead, focus on what it is in your own life that you already have that you are grateful for.
Do you have a significant other? A child? A great car? A great computer? Great friends? A job you enjoy? Even a book that you are reading right now that just tickles you pink is a good point of focus.
Become aware of the effect these things have on your life. What would life be like without them? Aren't you grateful to have these things?
Focus on your gratitude for what you have.
Spend a little time every morning and every night feeling gratitude for the things you already have acquired or accomplished that have made your life better.
Now here's the fun part...
When you focus on the things that you love and already have, you create a magnet to attract more things you will love and have.
When you are constantly grateful for your family, your house, your pets, or whatever, you are placing these positive emotions and thoughts out in front of your negative worries. Now, the stronger of these thoughts (the positive ones) will begin to have the most effect on your manifestations.
Because you are now in a mindset of enjoying the things you have, you are in a present, positive state of mind which allows fast and easy attraction of more wonderful things and people into your life.
The irony is that most of us completely ignore and neglect that which we already have, and therefore we are creating even more lack in our lives - we are creating an energetic lack of that which we've already attracted!
That form of magnetising will only continue to bring you things and experiences you do not desire.
Focusing on and developing gratitude causes your energy to focus on manifesting more reasons to be grateful.
And so it is that the simplest, most effective trick for manifesting things that you want is to stop and take the time to appreciate and enjoy the things that you already have.

Book Of Secrets: Deepak Chopra

The Book Of Secrets
by Deepak Chopra.

The Book of Secrets is about the hidden dimensions of our existence, which gives rise to everything that happens in the manifest world.

The manifest, or visible world, is an expression of the "unmanifest" or invisible domain of our own consciousness.

The Book of Secrets takes you through fifteen steps in that journey.

These steps include:

Step 1: get in touch with your hidden dimensions.

Step 2: see the world in yourself instead of you in the world.

Step 3: learn the meaning of suffering and go beyond it.

Step 4: understand the nature of good and evil.

Step 5: understand the meaning of death.

Step 6: learn to look at the world from a bigger, broader perspective. They are the secrets of our existence.

Get Positive Results From Your Meditation!

Get Positive Results From Your Meditation

Meditation and/or chanting each day has a positive effect on your day to day life and your future dreams.

I have been meditating/chanting consistently
each morning now for at least a year and many
positive things have begun to happen.

When you meditate it frees up your mind; a vacuum is created whereby new ideas and positive manifestations can rush into that 'space'.
Deepak Chopra talks of this - quieten the mind, allow the 'infinite field of possibilities' to have the chance to flood in!
Imagine how water (ideas) will find it's way into an empty space....(your mind).

When you meditate let the thoughts pass by, don't fight them - just observe them and let them go.
Eventually your mind will settle down and you begin to focus on your breath in.. and also your breath out.
Sit in a comfortable position; on a chair, or on a cushion on the floor or whatever works for you.
I have found that visualising a beautiful beach helps to calm my mind and get more from the process.

As I breath in I visualise the sea drawing back from a sandy beach...
...and then as I breath out I see the wave break and swoosh up and over the golden sand in a smooth soft arc.
I have been meditating on wealth and happiness and so much has happened.
Don't always think that wealth (or the thing you meditate on) will come in the form that you think.
It may not be money regarding wealth... as in my case it was a three week holiday in the south of France.
Two manifestations in one!
A wonderful gift of a holiday and I was very happy!

It is important to 'let go' of what you are asking the Universe for. Do not try to force things to manifest.
Have the thought and 'wish' whilst in your meditation and then 'let go' of the result.
It will come to you...watch for it as it will invariably be in a way that you haven't thought of.

I started meditating for 5 minutes and I found a great way to extend my meditation. I put my timer on for 5 minutes and if after a few days I'm reaching 5 minutes without checking the timer, then I increase it the next time by 2 minutes, and so and so on.
I've now reached 30 minutes without looking at the timer.
Perseverance does work and small steps lead to great results.

So if you haven't meditated before give it a go!
Start with 5 minutes and see where the Universe takes you!

Secret Powers Of Your Mind

Uncover The Secret Powers Of The Mind
 Through Meditation &
The Law Of Attraction
Many people believed that what you are, where you are and what you have are because of the people around them and because of the external events happened in their lives.
You should not include yourself who believe with this idea.
The power of the mind is wide. It can make you live a successful and happy life. There are two ways on how you can harness the powers of the mind: meditation and law of attraction.
Meditation:
One of the Secret Powers of the Mind
The most powerful and efficient way in unveiling the powers of the mind is meditation.
Every time you meditate, you focus your attention to de-stress and unwind. It detaches yourself from your everyday work and stress, and brings both peace and wisdom to a busy and active mind
For a busy person, they will think that this is almost impossible. However, by practicing and by making it part of your routine, you will easily learn and develop this. You will learn how to detach yourself from the external world even for just a few minutes of your time each day. Once you start meditating, your mind is opening up to all kinds of opportunities.
You can meditate by simply doing visual imagery and deep breathing. Your mind can reduce the physical and emotional symptoms of your worries and stress. You have to let go of such things as your deadlines and activities for the day. The power of your mind is up to you: it is limited on how you can detach from your outside world.
The Universal Law of Attraction:
One of the Secret Powers of the Mind
The secret powers of the mind can also help you achieve your goals much easier.
The Universal Law of attraction states that what you focus on, what your thoughts are, is what you'll attract into your life.
Whatever you tell the universe will come to you.
However, the universe is not capable of identifying if it's positive or negative. For instance, you tell yourself, "I'm going to get a parking slot this morning." Viola! Without spending too much time in the parking area, you were able to find a parking space.
On the other hand, if you worry too much of losing your job, you are telling the universe that you are going to lose your job. Whatever you tell or ask from the universe, the universe will act on your instructions and give it to you.
The Law of attraction is responsible for everything - the past, the present and the future events of your life. If you have the life that you don't want, it is because you are attracting negative energies in your life. You might be thinking that you are always broke, you do not get the job you want and you are not happy with your life.
What Now is the Importance of Uncovering the Secret Powers of the Mind?
When you know how to meditate, you allow yourself to have serene moments in your life each day. You will be able to approach life peacefully. Through meditation, you have the option to choose serenity over worries. Meditating for at least five to ten minutes per day will help you to be calm. Once this has become part of your routine, you will have a more productive and happy day.
Moreover, once you know the universal law of attraction, you will be able to know how to attract positive energies. You will focus more on positive opportunities which will mean that more positive opportunities will come into your life.
Learn to meditate and understand the concept of the law of attraction to uncover the secret powers of the mind.
The power of your own mind is truly unlimited. You really can have anything you desire in your life when you know how to your mind correctly. Attract never ending success, happiness and abundance quickly and easily by unleashing the secret powers of the mind

Video: Jewel Of Indra: Your Enlightenment

Jewel of Indra is like the multi dimensional spider's web, each junction of the web holding a jewel of dew...
...reflecting every other drop of dew....
Mutual inter-dependance of all things...
Whatever exists, exists due to all

The Jewel Of Indra

The Jewel Of Indra
"Our truest life is when we are in our dreams awake. Not till we are lost, in other words, not till we have lost the world, do we begin to find ourselves, and realise the infinite extent of our relations."
~ Henry David Thoreau
In the heaven of Hindu and Buddhist tradition, there lies a vast silken web whose strands span infinitely across space in every direction.
At each intersection, there's a shining luminous jewel and each one completely reflects every other jewel.
The jewels are said to represent the souls of all animate life.
For many, Indra's Net represents the interconnectedness of all souls. The idea is: since each jewel reflects all others, we both affect, and are affected by, others.
Consider:
How do you feel when you are treated abruptly and disrespectfully by someone - a colleague, a boss, a sales - or wait-person, a client or vendor, a physician, a relative, partner or spouse?
Moreover, if, as a result, you are feeling somewhat unhappy or really angry, on a scale of 1-10, how likely are you to allow your negative emotions to spill over into your next interaction, and the next, and the next?
And, if others react negatively to your negativity, how do you suppose they'll react to their next interaction?
And, if the opposite were true in terms of you being  acknowledged and appreciated by another, would that degree of positivity affect your next interaction, and the next, etc? Get the picture?
The Butterfly Effect ~
The idea is that if a butterfly chances to flap his wings in Beijing in March, then, by August, hurricane patterns in the Atlantic will be completely different - (the concept is initially attributed to meteorologist Edward Lorenz). Interconnectivity on a global level.
So, moving from the heavens, the global level, to the local level, ground level, the practical implication of Indra's Net would have us be curious about how we choose to relate to the various "jewels" we come across in our daily life - at work, at home, at play and in relationship.
And, caught up in a life where many are moving at 90 miles an hour (think "ant colony") - mentally, physically, on- and off-line, etc. - how often do we consciously or unconsciously choose to ignore those other jewels with whom we come into contact?
We DO have some effect on everyone with whom we come into contact - whether we/they are aware of it or not, whether we choose to or not.
Living a life, rather than a lifestyle, or living "in" one's self, as opposed to living "next to" one's self (i.e., robotically, disengaged), means being aware of who we are" and "how we are" in every moment - understanding and appreciating the significance of the web of interconnectivity.

"Once a human being has arrived on this earth, communication is the largest single factor determining what kinds of relationships he makes with others and what happens to him in the world about him."
~ Virginia Satir

Consider:
With how many people do you interact (face-to-face, electronically, etc.) - at work, at home, at play and in relationship - every day?
And how many of these folks are actually "visible" to you as you interact?
That is, how many of these folks do you see as having any real-ness or personal-ness?
Or do you tend to overlook or dismiss them as "ordinary" because you view them as "roles" or tasks, or insignificant or simply as a means to an end - direct reports, assistants, secretaries, clerks, taxi/bus drivers, street sweepers, shopkeepers, and the like?
Indra's Net (Web) reminds us that we can make the invisible, visible.
That the jewels that connect one strand to another and reflect one another are just that - jewels - to be seen, acknowledged, appreciated and valued.

"I wish Pooh were here. It's so much more
friendly with two."
Piglet (A.A. Milne)

Seeing the diamond through the dust.
What our planet seems to be crying out for are conscious, healthy interactions and relationships between and among folks - folks we know and folks we don't. And the easiest way to begin to remove the dust and see the jewels is simply by recognizing another as, well, another human be-ing - someone who, in their own right, is a jewel at the crossroads of other strands, reflecting other jewels.
How I choose to react or respond to another will affect how that other responds or reacts to others.
My glance, my heart, my words and my actions can have a positive or negative effect on that other, and their glance, heart, words and actions will affect others - the web is infinite and real.
We will make a difference - a good difference or a not-so-good difference.
But, in all likelihood, we will make a difference that ripples out to others as a ripple moves across a pond.
The idea is not to create an ego-driven difference, but a soul difference - making an invisible person, visible - seeing the diamond through the dust - with a loving or mindful glance, word, or kindness, as opposed to an unconscious, dismissive or robotic "I hardly notice you" role-playing-type reactivity. Just a one-carat energetic response is all it takes. It's mutually energizing on a soul level.
Every Diamond Is Unique
"It's surprising how many persons go through life without ever recognising that their feelings toward other people are largely determined by their feelings toward themselves, and if you're not comfortable within yourself, you can't be comfortable with others."
~ Sydney J. Harris
The beauty of a diamond is its uniqueness. Every jewel in the Net possesses a uniqueness. When our "eyepiece" is jiggled or jostled - by the speed of life, or a bruised psyche - we cannot see clearly and are more apt to dismiss, reject or judge another diamond as a simple, worthless stone. Here, we need to not only obtain a new eyepiece, but turn it on our self - to examine perhaps a flaw or two within our own diamond - something we have denied, repressed or not accepted about our jewel. When we discover what it is, work with it and polish it, then others' brightness will be readily available for our viewing pleasure.
The practical application of Indra's Net is that the diamond within us chooses to see the diamond in another. The beauty of Indra's Net, and real networking - is just that - the beauty that arises naturally when connection is based on acknowledging and appreciating the uniqueness and value of another - just because they are.
So, some questions for self-reflection are:
  • Do you ever observe and reflect on your own observations of others? What might they reveal about yourself?
  • When you choose to see someone as being different from you, what is it about your own unconscious that you are discovering?
  • Do you experience discomfort around others who are "not like me?" Do you tend to be more inclusive or exclusive in your orientation to others?
  • Do you know the name of someone who cleans your office, of the wait-person you see every day in your local coffee shop, the elevator operator, your refuse collector (you get the picture)?
  • Have you ever caught yourself being too busy to acknowledge or show appreciation to another?
  • How do you feel when you experience another not giving you the attention you'd like (or think you deserve)?
  • Can you think of times when a good/bad experience with someone influenced your behavior in subsequent interactions with others? What was that like?
  • Can you envision a world where an Indra's Net orientation to people actually exists down here, on earth, as well as in the heavens?
"The whole idea of compassion is based on a keen awareness of the interdependence of all these living beings, which are all part of one another, and all involved in one another."
~ Thomas Merton
