Are You Creating Your Anxiety?

Creating A Negative Self-fulfilling Prophecy:
Are You Causing Your Own Anxiety & Stress?
What The heck Is a Negative Self-Fulfilling Prophecy, And What Does It Have To Do With Anxiety?
You might be asking yourself, "what is a negative self-fulfilling prophecy" and "How does it relate to 'anxiety'?"
Well...here's the scoop...Did you know that whenever you THINK things that are negative in any way, you can actually CAUSE negative things to happen in your life?
Does that sound too weird to be true? Well, it IS true, and it's called "negative self-fulfilling prophecy"*
...And just so you know...If you are creating a negative self-fulfilling prophecy, YOU could be causing your own anxiety!!!
An Example Of Just How You May Be Causing Your Own Anxiety Via Negative Self-Fulfilling Prophecy
Let me explain how this happens...
1. You're about to ask someone out on a date, for example, and you are really nervous. All day before the date, you can't help but think to yourself, "I'm going to mess this up, and my date will end up not liking me."
2. When the evening comes around, you go out on your date. You're still anxious, because, in your mind, you are telling yourself that you just won't be able to have a good night...and that you aren't going to know what to talk about with your date...and that he or she is going to think you're not intelligent.
3. Then later on, while you're on your date, you can't think of a thing to say...you stumble over your words...and you end up saying something that insults your date (even though you didn't mean it).
4. By the end of the night, your date (a person you'd really like to go out with again) tells you that he/she isn't really interested in going out again.
5. After your date leaves. You sit there feeling even more anxious...and pretty darn depressed too. In your mind, you tell yourself, "I knew this would happen! I knew I was going to mess up!"
Changing Your Way Of Thinking...Getting The Best Out Of Life...Without Anxiety!
Listen carefully...There is another way...a better way you could have dealt with a situation like that...a kind of "self-fulfilling prophecy" in reverse...
It's called...
"Positive Self-fulfilling Prophecy."
See...if you had told yourself before your date that you are, "A fun, intelligent, and easy going person", you likely would have had a second date with that person.
Why? Because, the way you THINK and FEEL impacts the way you ACT. How you perceive yourself and the world around you can either make you or break you. And if you incorporate happy thoughts...confidence...and positive thinking, I guarantee you that you'll have A ZILLION less chances of failing in life...and A ZILLION more chances to have GREAT things happen to you in life...
..and A LOT less ANXIETY!
So ...the next time you find yourself saying negative things about yourself or others around you, do a
360 degree turn around and say "good" things instead of "bad" ...say "positive" things instead of "negative" things...think "confidence" rather than "failure"...think "happy" rather than "sad."
Watch the people around you WANT to be around you, because they think you're so confident, easy-going, pleasant, intelligent, worldly, positive, and so-on!
Remember..."self-fulfilling prophecy" is one of the biggest determiners of how well you do in life...and how much anxiety you have in your life.
So...when you find yourself creating a "negative self-fulfilling prophecy"...reverse this way of thinking...smile, think positively, and feel good about yourself...
You'll love the results!

Lessons From The Buddha: Giving You Success

"Love yourself first.
You are shaped by your thoughts: law of attraction.
Be optimistic - it is better than being negative.
Believe in your own thoughts; follow YOUR heart.
Small steps lead to big success; it is better to travel well than to arrive - stay in the present."

Attract The Life *YOU* Want Through Gratitude

Gratitude & The Law Of Attraction
The largest obstacles standing in our way when we begin attempting to utilise the Law of Attraction are our current habitual thought processes.
Whether we realise it or not, most of us focus solely on our lacks, our wants, (also translated as "things we don't have" or "lack"), and on the things that irritate us or stand in our way.
This is largely counterproductive, as what we are magnetising is more lack and more irritation.
There is a fantastic trick to altering our mode of thought in a more positive, abundant direction.
This is the process of gratitude.
Take a moment and stop worrying about the things you need. Stop worrying about the things you want. Stop worrying about what's going wrong and what you can't do anything about.
Instead, focus on what it is in your own life that you already have that you are grateful for.
Do you have a significant other? A child? A great car? A great computer? Great friends? A job you enjoy? Even a book that you are reading right now that just tickles you pink is a good point of focus.
Become aware of the effect these things have on your life. What would life be like without them? Aren't you grateful to have these things?
Focus on your gratitude for what you have.
Spend a little time every morning and every night feeling gratitude for the things you already have acquired or accomplished that have made your life better.
Now here's the fun part...
When you focus on the things that you love and already have, you create a magnet to attract more things you will love and have.
When you are constantly grateful for your family, your house, your pets, or whatever, you are placing these positive emotions and thoughts out in front of your negative worries. Now, the stronger of these thoughts (the positive ones) will begin to have the most effect on your manifestations.
Because you are now in a mindset of enjoying the things you have, you are in a present, positive state of mind which allows fast and easy attraction of more wonderful things and people into your life.
The irony is that most of us completely ignore and neglect that which we already have, and therefore we are creating even more lack in our lives - we are creating an energetic lack of that which we've already attracted!
That form of magnetising will only continue to bring you things and experiences you do not desire.
Focusing on and developing gratitude causes your energy to focus on manifesting more reasons to be grateful.
And so it is that the simplest, most effective trick for manifesting things that you want is to stop and take the time to appreciate and enjoy the things that you already have.

Stay Positive!

A Few Positive Actions
To Negate Some Of the Negatives
In view of the increasing negative events happening around the world here are five things you can do to help you stay positive.
1. Take a news sabbatical. Listening to the news can be downright depressing. All bad news all of the time can drag you down and keep you there. Give yourself permission to stop listening to the news, especially before bed time.
2. Use your influence to do good where you live. Shift your focus from what is happening in other parts of the world to your community. Get involved in making a positive change or contribution.
3. Focus on what is working in your life. Choose one thing that you are grateful for and focus on it for the rest of the day.
4. Express your appreciation to others. You can create a positive world one person at a time by saying thank you every chance you get to everyone you interact with - from the person who holds open a door for you to your child who does a chore to a cherished friend or loved one.
5. Focus on what you can change, let go of what you can't change. When faced with a distressing situation ask yourself if you can control over the events. If you do, change what you can. If you don't, learn to let it go and move on.
